[1.4.4.9] TerrariaPatcher (plugins and more!)

the only thing i dislike about terraria updates: waiting on mods to update.

and yeah, recent patcher does not work with latest update
 
hi i would like some help...Terraria has updated to 1.3.1, ive deleted the old Terrariaexe.bak file, ive updated the patcher to v 1.2.0.2.1 and im still getting errors...
any help will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou ;(

Do note there seems to be two glitched items, do NOT place these into the world. Mousing over them makes your vanity items vanish and seem as if you're in mid fall.
 
well ive tried plenty of times to get it working, did exactly what i did originally, even deleted the exe file and the bak.exe file and re-installed the game, re-did everything more than once and i still cant get it to work, i cant seem to figure out the problem but there definitely is one!

I would suggest two things:
1) where it says Terraria's Location, make sure that you're selecting the original version of Terraria (it helps if you renamed it at some point to know which is which)
2) if that does not work, go through Steam, rightclick on Terraria on your game list, then choose Properties. In the "Local Files" tab, select "Verify Integrety of Game Cache", then try to patch it again.
 
Thankyou for your reply its much appreciated, but unfortunately i have done both of those things and its still not working ):
when you verify the integrity of the game does it put it back to the original version? so i could rename that file as youve suggested in suggestion 1) ?
or should i uninstall the game and start from scratch??
 
I fixed it by removing Terraria from my computer, reinstalling it. Then running the patcher. Choosing not to use a previous backup, and then continuing as normal.
 
uninstalling it how through steam or control panel?
and does that keep your character and you world if moved to cloud?

First ensure to copy your players, and worlds folders in My Documents > My Games > Terraria folder.
Then right click Terraria in your Steam Library and click Delete Local Content.
Then re-install terraria.
Then paste the players, and worlds folders back into My Documents > My Games > Terraria folder.
Then re-run the Terraria Patcher program.
Do not backup on the first pop up, but continue on the next pop up of creating a new back up file.
Customize your patcher any way you want, and when your done click Patch & Save (Ensure you click Terraria on the next pop up).
Then run Terraria, and it should work.
