Game Mechanics Being Able to Dye the Chlorophyte Set Bonus

I was going through my play-through and just discovered the Living Rainbow Dye which I am using on all of my armour. I used it on the chlorophyte armour and was surprised to find that the crystal spawned above your head was not affected by dye. I suggest that the crystal will only change colour if all pieces are dyed the same. Put your thoughts below.
