Switch Best setup ranger ?

For you, what's the best ranger setup armor/weapon to defeat the mech boss ?

Depends if you’re using guns or bows. For guns, Clockwork Assault Rifle or Onyx Blaster with Crystal Bullets and Adamantite/Titanium Armor. For Bows, Daedalus Stormbow, Shadow Flame Bow, or Adamantite/Titanium Repeater with holy arrows and Adamantite/Titanium Armor as well (Remember to go with Adamantite Mask/Titanium Helmet)

Use an ammo box too and if possible, try to have a way to inflict ichor/cursed flames on an enemy.

If you don't want to grind 2 hours for Holy Arrows, I recommend Hellfire Arrows, the Demolitionist sells them in Hardmode.

Unholy arrows (bought from arms dealer) are also a good pick for bows. Another weapon that I would recommend for the mech fights is the dart pistol or rifle (from crimson or corrupt mimics, respectively). Crystal darts are great for skeletron prime and destroyer, ichor darts are great for twins, and cursed darts are solid all around (and are god tier on destroyer). Plus, unlike the daedalus stormbow, you can actually use them underground. With crystal darts they do very well in the underground jungle and even the post-plantera dungeon.
