Best support class?

I want to play modded terraria with a friend and idk which class is the best for supporting. Healer or bard?
Healer heals and protects allies while bard gives buffs.
I simply can t choose. So i came up with the idea of playing healer and using bard instruments from time to time to buff my allies.
Is this going to work or i am going to fail?

Healer gives direct health, you can just use pots for buffs, so I would go for healer.

I am going to play healer and use the bard weapons sometimes just to give afew buffs to my team.
I realised that healer is better because it also gives deffence buffs, life shields and has a few items which provide the buffs i wanted even though they are not as strong as the bard buffs.
I also like healer because it plays kinda like a mage(it uses mana) which is my favourite vanilla class.

Use both. Use bard weapons when out of mana to let your mana recharge. Once you run out of isnpiration your mana should be recharged.
