Jungle Jim is the boss of the Surface Jungle / Tropical Oasis mini-biome. He's a giant ape monster like King Kong.

Tropical Oasis

A new mini-biome found in some worlds in the surface Desert, characterized by lush green surrounding a small body of water.

Starting the fight

Go to the Tropical Oasis and look for a Precious Banana Tree. If you break it, Jungle Jim will attack.

Moves
-Standard jumping attack, he jumps towards you and attempts to land on you
-Pounds the ground with his fists. If you're also on the ground nearby, you'll take damage and be briefly stunned. This is usually used after jumping 1-3 times
-Jim beats his chest for 3 seconds. If you damage him during this time he grows increasingly mad and gains a permanent damage boost. He can one-shot you if you hit him too much during this throughout the fight.
-Throws a boulder at you. The boulder will break into smaller rocks if it's hit by your attacks.
-Peels a banana and tosses it into the air. If it lands in his mouth it heals him. Shoot it out of the air to prevent the healing.

-Jungle Jim arcade cabinet, decorative furniture
-Semi-Precious Banana, summon a miniature Jim pet
-Green Banana, projectile weapon dealing Throwing damage
-Slightly Spotty Banana, healing over time consumable
-Banana Custard Tart, well-fed buff item

Starting the fight

Go to the Tropical Oasis and look for a Precious Banana Tree. If you break it, Jungle Jim will attack. Does the tree regrow or is there any other way to refight the boss?
What part of the game should he be fought? Also, any stats on the boss? How much health, damage, etc. does he have? If you don't wish to specify, then what part of the game should he be fought? (ex: post-skeletron, hardmode, etc.)

-Jim beats his chest for 3 seconds. If you damage him during this time he grows increasingly mad and gains a permanent damage boost. He can one-shot you if you hit him too much during this throughout the fight. I wouldn't make it a permanent damage boost, only a temporary boost. The player shouldn't be punished that severly for hitting him at the wrong time.
-Throws a boulder at you. The boulder will break into smaller rocks if it's hit by your attacks.
-Peels a banana and tosses it into the air. If it lands in his mouth it heals him. Shoot it out of the air to prevent the healing. Maybe also give him a slight attack boost temporarily to make the attack more unique. Also, how much does it heal?

A unique suggestion, but needs more specifications on the things I have responded to in red. I also suggest that you add more drops to his pool, such as the expert item and maybe a new armor set for the throwing class, seeing as the banana is a throwing weapon.
 
Didn't think of any other function for the biome, maybe new fish in the lake?
