These weapons are not only upgrades to the Musket and Undertaker, but they are also like upgrades of the Dart Rifle and Dart Pistol. They act as supplementary weapons to players who are just trying to traverse Hardmode.

The Brush Gun deals a lot more damage than the Pepperbox; yes, all five of the Pepperbox’s pellets hitting the target is higher damage technically, but the Brush Gun is more accurate and has higher crits. Both are great early to mid Hardmode weapons, though.
