PC Bug since Blackout

For a few days, more specifically since there was a sudden blackout when I was playing, Terraria has been ... weird.
For starters I do not save the in-game achievements, several are reset, for example, every time I win Marathon Medalist, Bulldozer, and Good Fishing Slave.
In addition to that, a meteorite always falls, even though I have not broken any more Crimson Hearts.

Is there any way to fix this? Has it happened to anyone else?

Nope. Meteors only stop dropping when there's a certain amount of meteorite already present on the map. Otherwise they just have a small chance of dropping every day.

Edit, from the wiki:
  • Small worlds: 400
  • Medium worlds: 600
  • Large worlds: 800
If the amount of meteorite is below these numbers AND an orb has been smashed meteors will keep falling until these numbers have been reached.
