PS4 Can't equip accessories in vanity slot

Ive tried to equip my accessorys in my vanity slots but it just wont go into them me and my friend have the same controls and his works any ideas?

Some accessories are no longer able to be put in the vanity slot, make sure it has the tag "Can be worn in vanity slots"
