NPCs & Enemies Celestial Pillars gain the 50 Enemy Requirement once all 4 are defeated, even if you fail Moon Lord.

In 1.4.4, the Celestial Pillars were changed to where all difficulties require 100 kills at the start, and 50 kills after defeating Moon Lord. That's great. But if you fail Moon Lord, you still need to defeat 100 enemies to break the Shield.

Why? I don't know. You've already proven you can defeat the Pillars, you just managed to die on Moon Lord. So why not give the Celestial Pillars the 50 kill requirement instead of the 100 kill requirement after defeating the 4th pillar? It helps if you just can't quite beat Moon Lord, and you're trying little tweaks to get to it, but you ran out of Sigils.

But in this case:
Work faster, not slower.

Because the longer events drag out, the more it becomes mentally taxing.

Here's a fun masochist suggestion: bring back the 150 kills for the Celestial Pillars regardless if the Moon Lord is killed or not on FTW and Zenith worlds. Now everyone can bandwagon the roller coaster of suffering!

That's basically what I'm asking, you already already did the hard part of killing the 100 enemies, and you can't get any armor upgrades until you beat ML, so make it quicker to be able to retry ML if you're stuck on him but not the pillars.

How about sigil no longer craftable in those worlds, and need more pillars kill for every time moon lord is defeated. They would definitely love it 😝
 
I'm . . . actually a little confused. Are you saying that right now, if you fail Moon Lord the first time,

— the pillar kill count does increase, and you want it changed so it does not increase?

Basically, regardless of whether or not you defeat Moon Lord after the Pillars are defeated,

The Pillar Kill Count will DECREASE to 50 once the final Pillar has been defeated.

Currently, the Pillars take 100 kills to drop the shield until Moon Lord is defeated, where it drops to 50 for repeated Lunar Events.
This suggestion makes it so once all 4 Pillars have been defeated, the Pillars take 50 kills to drop the shield, regardless of if Moon Lord is defeated.
