The world actively tries to kill you:

The sun burns you, the moon turns into a were-animal version that wants to bite you and infect you with rabies, meteors take out a third of the map, bosses instantly kill you in the day, the moon goes all Majora's Mask on you like how the original Lunar Boss was.
