Xbox Series S/X Character comes Back after deleting??

i hop on my old characters put stuff in chests then leave then delete the character but it comes back??

Was the account in question created before the 1.4 update? We have a legacy conversion system in place which will attempt to "reconvert" files that are deleted - you should be able to circumvent this by deleting the file twice without loading into a world.
