The quest rewards from the angler are quite helpful, but if you want maximum fishing output lategame, you have to give up 3 equip slots for all of them. Combine that with giving up your full armor for the fishing set, and fishing will become pretty dangerous.
Other items, such as the Greedy Ring or any of the Smartphone materials, combine similar features into 1 accessory slot, so I don't see a reason why this shouldn't apply here, especially due to each item giving a relatively small bonus.
If you agree, feel free to post ideas on it's name and looks. I'd probably just call it Fishing Gear.
