so, i've been banging ideas against a buddy of mine who's more of a pessimist about terraria ideas being added by the devs.
this thread is about some of the ideas that really should be in terraria some update, that have no effect on balance, but would add more to terraria in general.
first off. allow players to use the emotes the NPCs use. even if it's just the speech bubbles. interacting with furnishings is also cool, would breathe a bit more life into builds. sitting in chairs, laying on beds, that sorta deal.
double dye slots. even if it means removing the old half and half dyes and having them, on character conversion, translate to one of each dye used to make them. imagine the outfits you could do with that. also fixing how some of the dyes work would be cool with actually getting the intended color.
fix how paints work with greyscale blocks.
