The Cross Necklace (and Star Veil) should double the invincibility lenght a player is granted after taking damage, right? Well, in PvP, these items have no effect. In PvP, wearing Cross Necklace does not affect the time of invincibility you're granted when a player strikes you.
In 1.3.5.3, both Cross Necklace and Star Veil worked fine in PvP, and this issue only seems to have appeared after the release of Journey's End and hasn't been fixed since. I hope you'll be able to resolve this issue. The (tiny) Terraria PvP fanbase would be very happy!
