So I had a thought, why are the first houses I make so simple and bad?
SO I made this as my first house...

Quite snazzy if I say so myself.

But while My land isn't dotted with small box houses, this was HELL to build.
zombies here, caving there, always running out of materials, I got killed by the dungeon guardian looking for books. I must have died 10 000 times...
What's more, for some stupid reason I made it a decent walk from spawn.

To conclude, when starting out, BOX IS BEST​

Haha I know what you mean.. I'm doing a Ps4 expert world right now and my starter house/workshop is pretty fancy. Took awhile to 'finish'

Yeah, same problem. When you are a noob you always die or run out of materials when you build something beautiful. Nice house by the way, though I would add some windows in rooms on the second floor (or paintings when you will find them).
