Console Does Hoiking work on the current version of Terraria on console?

So recently I watched a Yrimir video where he killed the dungeon guardian in one night and I saw he used a method which he called “Hoiking” and I thought it looked really cool. Anyway I read some comments and saw that some people said it was still working on PC when 1.3 came out. But I was wondering if it works on console? Can anyone confirm if it does?

Yes, it works on both old gen and current gen consoles. Supposedly it also works on mobile, although differently; mounting hoiks work differently apparently.
