It is getting closer to may 16th and some of these Ideas will probably be hard to implement in time. I would like to see some sort of dragon event in Terraria with dragon themed enemies that drop dragon themed items.
This Event would have a small chance to spawn once you kill a wyvern in hardmode or maybe by crafting a spawner with Souls of Flight, feathers and Wyvern Scales dropped by wyverns.
Dragon People (250 Life)(40 Damage) - Drop Dragon Themed Vanity
Multiple colored small Wyverns (1000 life)(Head does 50 damage, body parts do 25 damage) - Drops a Wyvern Egg that summons a small Wyvern Pet. Wyvern Scales.
Dragon Mini Boss (Maybe a Hydra with 3 heads) (6000 Life)(60-120 Damage) - Small chance to drop a Dragon Summoning Item. Maybe other weapons and items.
Dragon Riders (Flying and Walking) (750 Life)(40-50 Damage) (Not the Wyvern) - Flying version drops Flying Mount, Walking version drops Walking mount.
Ground Dragons called Drakes (500 Life)(50 Damage) - Drops a Drake Egg that summons a small Drake Pet.
Flying Dragons called Dragons (500 Life)(50 Damage) - Drops a Dragon Egg that summons a small Dragon Pet.
