Hi and welcome to my modest tread! I am bad in english, bad in spriting and bad with coding... (in playing Terraria i'm bad too) ...but it not stopping me and i want creating mod. Wonderful, is not it?
Have you ever played Borderlands? It's great game and i really like weapon-system in this game: each weapon have several components that affected to summary stats. I can find hundreds different guns. Double shots, autofire, poison explosion, rocket shotguns... great! But this weapons can't be modified. This mod can give you "big-bag-with-goods" - you can craft or find some components and combine it in dream-gun!

- gears (firing mode)
--- simple gear (single shot, no autofire)
--- clockwork gear (burst shooting like clockwork rifle, but less damage)
--- gatling gear (autofire, more shooting speed, less damage)
- holders (ammo type)
--- bullet holder (standart, like a musket ball)
--- shell holder (less damage and shooting speed, but multi shot)
--- bolt holder (less shooting speed, more damage, affected by gravitation)

--- saved-off barrel (less accuracy, less shot lifetime, multi shot)
