It would be a special kind of abandoned house that would treat the walls as bricks instead with respective stone doors, platforms, and more fanciful furniture. Depending on where it spawns, it can be standard gray brck, red brick, the rare gold/platinum brick (depending on ore gen), ice bricks (for the underground snow), sandstone bricks (for underground desert), and evil bricks (demonite/crimtane bricks, depending on the world evil you have). The loot doesn't really change except the gold/plat brick houses will most likely have some money or ingots lying around as well.
This will also have the ability to form little abandoned obsidian brick houses at the lava layer, complete with obsidian furnishings if it can spawn.
The jungle will most likely have something earthen for its bricks, so I would most likely bet on a brick type the altars don't use. Or perhaps, replace the altars with these, yet have a uniform setup that still offers the respective jungle loot in the chest.
Makes for a kind of change that would be different than the same wooden outliers that you'd come to see, but this isn't a replacement for the wooden structures -- just a little something extra in the midst.
