Hello possible developer!
I had a good idea, not just for the current terraria, but for otherworld.
Terraria is a great 2d game, but there is so little you can do to add 3d effects (You can build some great 3d looking buildings, but it's still limited.) I'm suggesting a block which can be placed in-front of your standard block, it could do terraria some good.
You could have grass walls or dirt walls which add a 3d effect to the land and spawn naturally depending on how many of a certain block there is in a certain area. (Caves are wide open and will keep the same appeal.)
These foreground walls could be broken with a hammer by adding two different hammer modes, one for background, and the other for foreground. They could also be crafted by a player, and only seen through with the use of certain gear/potions.
