There should be a Fossil Trader NPC. A pre-hardmode NPC.

What does the NPC do?

-You can trade in fossils from the desert for Coins
-You can buy Fossil Related Items

How to get Fossils?

-You can get Fossils by using the metal detector bought from the NPC
-Using the metal detector it shows where the fossils that spawn in deserts in cordinates

How to get the NPC to move in?

-You get the Fossil Trader NPC by freeing him from the desert when he is trapped in a cave held by desert enemies/monsters

What does he sell?

-Metal Detector - 1 Gold Coin - Sell Price : 50 Silver Coins
-Radar - 1 Gold Coin - Sell Price : 50 Silver Coins
-Sand - 25 Copper Each / A Stack 999 is 2 gold Coins 50 Silver Coins - Sell Price Each : 10 Copper Coins / 999 = 1 Gold Coin

Prices of Fossils - All Found in Desert Biomes

-Common Fossils - 25 Silver Coins Each
-Shining Fossils - 50 Silver Coins Each
-Topaz Fossils - 75 Silver Coins Each
-Amethyst Fossils - 1 Gold Coin Each
-Ruby Fossils - 1 Gold Coin and 50 Silver Coins Each
-Sapphire Fossils - 1 Gold Coin and 50 Silver Coins Each
-Diamond Fossils - 2 Gold Coins
