tModLoader Friendly NPCs Don't Die Mod

Is this open source? I have an issue that is still allowing the critters to be killed by me and enemies. Town NPCs are still unkillable though.

Does it still work? Given the date, it seems like this mod is dead-

It seems to for NPCs, just not critters and such. Mod states it affects critters as well. I believe this mod is dead, but can't find alternatives.
