PS4 Game crash speaking to Painter during Christmas

After completing a Frost Moon and having a day of Christmas event, speaking to the Painter NPC immediately causes a crash in journey mode making obtaining and researching the special Christmas items sold by the Painter impossible to obtain.

Me and 2 other people have had this exact same issue and my assumption is because of the ui. During Christmas his shop is larger and I'm guessing the devs overlooked this for the update and haven't supported it, this needs to be fixed because like you stated these items are now unobtainable
