A friend awhile ago told me that "Ter-ar-ia" was the correct way so I've pronounced it this way since then.

/təɹaɹiə/. I've heard /təɹeɪɹiə/ but it just sounds wrong to the Latin scholar in me. The word comes from Latin, and in Latin "a" always sounds like /a/ when stressed, not /eɪ/.

P.S. for anyone who doesn't know IPA, /a/ sounds like the vowel in "top", and /eɪ/ sounds like the vowel in "slay".
