Xbox 360 invisble potion?

i was playing terraria on my xbox with my friend. i used my last potions archery and thorns using the x button.when i defeated skeletron prime my friend threw me the drops, there was a empty slot but i couldnt pick anything up. so i looked in my inventory and hovered over the slot and it said 0/10 archery potions, same with the thorns. i couldnt move them but they disappeared when i moved another item over them .

Happened to me with a hunter potion on xbox one, I think its a multiplayer thing though cause it only happened to a char I used for events with friends.
