My version is 1.4.4.9.2. Earlier today I was playing Terraria on the Not The Bees seed and Slime Rain had began. As I wanted the mount that dropped from him I began killing slimes. The in-game time was about 7:30 PM. After killing enough slimes, the message appeared and boss music began playing for a few seconds. However, after about five seconds, the music stopped and Slime Rain continued. I checked the map to see if he had spawned elsewhere but no. He never even spawned.
