I just bought this game for the Wii U. It says you can play multiplayer locally with split screen, but I am thinking that is not true, at least for my copy of the game. There was another thread about this topic, but the answers there did not help one bit. I have multiple user profiles with their own characters, and even their own worlds. I have the Wii U gamepad and additional Wii U remotes. But when I start a game, then press a button to join on one of said Wii U remotes, nothing happens. Absolutely zero response. Some people posted about how it says something like "no profiles detected" when they press the join button, but I don't even get this.
This is extremely frustrating. I bought this game for my two children to play together, but it just does not seem possible. If someone else has encountered this problem and found a solution, please help
