Pictured here is me playing Terraria, but I move incredibly slowly. NPCs and enemies move at the same speed, both in singleplayer & multiplayer. Due to this, the game is quite literally, not playable, because it is slow to the point of being unable to fight even the most trivial of bosses.
I currently have high quality graphics and subtle frame-skip. However, changing these settings in any combination does not resolve the issue, and frame-rate remains low.
I am running on MacOS Monterey 12.6.3 on a 2021 24-inch iMac running on an M1 silicon chip. This issue did not occur on my old 2013 Macbook Pro.
I need help pretty much ASAP, due to being incapable of playing the game in any capacity.
