Skeletron Prime
I did decide to create a castle because I've wanted to make something huge in the game and put alot of effort into it so I could personally enjoy the game more in a more cosmetic creation, so I decided to create my castle, here's a screenshot in a very early developed state. Obviously the tower does not look hot at the moment, I haven't added any decorations or anything fancy yet but all of the cosmetics will come later, I'm currently just working on structure and this is my progress so far. Not even the structure with this part is done, I still have to add things hanging off the side like pyramids or however you want to call those triangles.
This is such a little part of the castle, and I have imagined it to be far more greater than how it looks in this screenshot (or this part anyway) I may change it alot, even expand it. I'm doing this by myself, no help from any software considering none of it works for the new 3.0 terraria version anyway. No fun doing it with a edit anyway. Feel free to leave a suggestion.
Ofc I have missed paint spots, I'll get them some day. This is not my main world, I created a new world just to do a huge castle.
The big part of the castle is off the map, again, this is a pretty small part of it. I haven't even developed most of it just the main structure. Half of it is stone wall, other half still has no wall because I keep continuing on improving on this side
There are also these conveniently placed areas where I can expand my castle and get even more creative.
-UPDATE- ^ Remember this? Yeah It's gone, It was really nub skill and i wanted to make something ALOT more impressive. And I did.
My idea on this is to build a tower up, going inbetween the sky island, just digging right through it and come up through the top. Which would be pretty cool.

Replaced the purple under the windows with ebonstone which looks a lot better.
Making banners, to anyone who doesn't know how to do this just put 3 platforms under your platforms and hammer the middle one 3 times to make it a banner platform, then hammer the other 2 so that they are stairs facing opposite from eachother, then hammer the 2 platforms over your opposite stairs , so that they will turn into stairs, going into your opposite opposite stares and creating this. Once you put the banner on the banner platform, two platform stairs will stretch up, completing it (the banner will do it by itself) you can cover the holes with like wood wall or something.

As progress continues, it begans to look more aesthetic.
This is ofcourse a pretty small part of the castle, I have alot of work to do but Im still going to take my time, and make it look the best I can. I will be building to underground also, and be creating mining caves across the land, with a mining cart. And most likely a sky bridge that has a tower to every different biome in this world. Im not going to rush any of it, I'll be happy I didn't.
Fixed these windows.

Update on the progress
Im going to extend the right side into a big fort that goes underground, which I will connect to the inside of the castle underground.
