recently I've seen not only myself but other people experience these bugs.

1. the movement bug, i have been experiencing this bug after i've been reinstalling terraria. this bug makes it so you cannot move unless you press WASD and space.

2. the map bug, there is a bug where if you press + or - on the minimap, it will start to become transparent and eventually clear so you can see through it. i don't know how to fix this bug because when i reinstall terraria it does the same thing.

1. This is a known bug, for now the workaround seems to be to uninstall Terraria, turn your PC off and on again, then reinstall Terraria.
Your saves will not be effected by this.

2. This is not a bug, it's an intended feature (which is not new in 1.4).

Please elaborate - I explained how to fix issue 1 and issue 2 is not a bug so there is no fix.

sorry, I'm talking about issue 2. I want to make it so it doesn't do that so I can zoom in.

You can rebind these controls in the 'Map Controls' section of the keybindings.
