Mini map reset to all black

I was playing this morning, and Terraria crashed. When I loaded it up again, all my maps were black like I haven't explored anything! I had half my large world explored, does anyone know how to fix this?

I've already tried restarting and going thru all the map settings again, but that hasn't worked.

Also I have my players and worlds saved to the cloud.

Same thing just happened to me. Unfortunately, I doubt there is a fix for this. If anybody knows a solution to this, please post.

It's to do with the .MAP files in the player folder. They keep a record of exploration, as far as the minimap is concerned. If they don't exist or something happens to them, you lose the mapping for that world on that particular character.
