Resolved [Mobile] In iPadOS 15.7, Bluetooth mouse control does not function properly.

ZeldaYYDS

Terrarian
In iPadOS 15.7, version 4.4.11

1. Bluetooth mouse control does not function properly. After connecting the Bluetooth mouse, the cursor can move, but it cannot click effectively. This is because it is actually fixed in a certain position. In the game, the cursor movement seems normal, but when you click, it automatically returns to that fixed position. Perhaps this description is a bit abstract. I have created a gif to demonstrate it:

2. Furthermore, the mouse functionality in iPadOS has a noticeable sluggishness. I understand that this is an issue with Apple, but I wanted to ask if you could optimize this problem?

OMG, I finally figured out how this issue occurred. It was all because of the Assistive Touch in the Accessibility settings!

I really wish official personnel would warn players of this problem in the App Store introduction. It will cause the mouse to not work properly, since terraria is so comfortable with keyboard and mouse.

All of my Apple devices have Assistive Touch enabled, which allows quick access to certain functions. Now, all you need to do is go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Touch -> Assistive Touch and disable it. God knows I almost gave up on Terraria because I didn't have Windows available at the moment. I'm passing this solution along to every brother who encounters the same issue. Enjoy Terraria with your iPad!

This unfortunately doesnt work as of iOS 17, as now Assistive Touch is required to use any mouse input on the device, so the cursor is still in a fixed position unless you hold down the midle click to constantly update the cursor position, plus the game cursor disappears visually as well

I'm sorry to hear this news. It seems like this could potentially diminish the enjoyment of Terraria on the iOS platform since playing without a keyboard and mouse can be quite challenging. Hopefully, the official team can consider optimizing and providing better support for this.

the game can also use a controller, tho it is somewhat difficult to grasp if you're used to KBM gameplay, so not all hope is lost for the iOS version
