NPCs & Enemies Monster infighting, both natural and inflicted. Expand monster interaction to allow capture&study.

Monster infighting is a concept as classic as DOOM, and prehaps far earlier too.
Additional cross-monster-and-player interaction would add another layer of "life" to Terraria, as monsters attack eachother for territory, food sources, and the like. A mock ecosystem, if you will.

Adding this to terraria could be interesting in some ways; Imagine wandering through the Corruption and getting swarmed by a bunch of Eaters, only for a devourer who hadn't yet noticed you, burst out, grab one, and start burrowing with it's catch? Or the Corruption and Crimson attacking eachother as well as Hallowed enemies? What if Pillar Mobs preyed upon the world's natural mobs?

Additionally, there could be a way for players to catch and bait various monsters, to take them back to their base and do scientific study with them. This would yield a variety of benefits; though most are not related to direct combat, and allows for a potentially more pacifistic style of play; assuming the player had the proper items and buildings to contain the monster and capture it; which can then be an expansion on the Pet and Summon systems, even extending straight up to bosses, which can be made to ignore the player, help the player, or in the case of Bosses, spawn naturally.

This would give further point to crafting new blocks out of excess resources, as monsters would require greater means of containment and taming to put on respective cages/leashes/etc. and so that they couldn't just pass through or escape those blocks. This can also be used for Arenas for monsters that would otherwise de-spawn or phase through the blocks, if the player wasn't there or was killed, or they phase/dig through blocks.

And yes, they can be used in PVP. yes, this includes bosses. Imagine having a Team Deathmatch on a server, but the game culminates in Blue and Red attacking each-other with respective Moon Lords. This can get rather insane. The enemies will usually have an outline to depict what team it's on alongside a color-coded shield of what team it's on, as well as copy it's master's Dyes.

This could also allow for other potential ideas; After researching and getting enough upgrades and the like towards a specific monster, new varietys of it can spawn (much like modifiers for weapons and items) which can inflict debuffs, have diffrent attacks, summon lesser varietys, and more. To simplify things; they'd use Dye; which players could also apply to captured and domesticated monsters.

Domesticated monsters can be outright tamed and, furthermore, farmed outright- as they'll occasionally drop items for the player so long as they're tended to. (for example, Eater of Souls would drop and consume Rotten Chunks, so long as multiple were in the same enclosure.)

This suggestion goes hand-in-hand with my Celestial Columns suggestion.
