I want to receive alerts from only threads that I post.
Not from threads that I comment on and get marked as watched.

I think there is an option when you post a thread to watch it. Then disable alerts from everything but watched threads.

You automatically watch a thread when you post it, but I would still like the option to not get alerts from anything but my threads. It is always better to have multiple ways to achieve one thing.

I think by default you only receive notifications from replied/quotes.

At least with me, I don't automatically watch threads I comment on.

I think all of these shenanigans are happening because the site just launched recently and may still have some bugs that escaped the beta-testers.

Threads in this section and in the platform support sections can be reported as Resolved, to be locked and marked as such. So, I will do that.
