I just beat my first pumpkin moon on mobile, the spectre armor helps out a lot and alternating between mask and hood helps out a lot especially in boss fights.

All my accessories were Menacing for a higher magic damage output and increased and maximized TTK.

Yes, using Menacing accessories is a great idea for increasing your magic damage output and maximizing your TTK (time to kill) ratio. The Spectre armor provides high defense and the mask and hood combo helps you survive longer in boss fights.

This setup seriously helped me out in the pumpkin and frost moon events and managed to get every weapon from those events easily. Now I use the Razorpine as my main magic weapon for DPS and TTK.

I never heard of someone who actually uses forbidden armour because there is better mage/summoner options(unless you want to combine the 2)

I'm using it post-Plantera on Master Mode like a boss.
