Game Mechanics Namable items.

This has probably been posted before, but I couldn't find it so here it is. I think that we should be able to name our items. However I understand that this may not work due to the fact that the weapons have names (e.g. The Terra Blade),

Hmmm, renaming a Last Prism "The Death Ray" or giving "The Exact Killer" on a Sniper Rifle should make sense. Or, finding a Beach Ball and naming it "The Pure Fun" would be good joke to make on a multiplayer world...

Anyway, this's a very good idea, let's hope it happens to Terraria!

While nice, there is also the risk/issue of people renaming their items to something profane or offensive.
Edit: From the other thread, I suggested that renamed items perhaps shouldn't take effect on multiplayer for this reason; or the effect should be local only.
