Are you suggesting taking one of the opponents and dropping them from an extreme height?
 
Checkerface is very smart, as you can see.
He hits the tree and falls, groaning a little as he gets up. He didn’t break anything yet, but he’s definitely going to have to go after the smaller enemies first; He can stand pain, not death. He decides to try sneaking around a bandit to stab them in the neck or something. If he gets caught, he’ll just do it then.

The Master Bandit is on fire, dealing 20 damage each turn.

Master Bandit throws a dozen knives at you, dealing 5 damage (only 1 hit)

Since Bandit 1 is dead, your fire bolt hits the Master Bandit, dealing 30 damage, and Master Bandit will take 30 damage per turn.
Master Bandit throws a cannonball at you, but misses.
