Game Mechanics Portable Demon Altar

I think there should be a way to take a Demon altar to your house so you don’t have to worry about going to the crimson / corruption every time you need a demon altar to craft an item.

it makes sense that the pre-hardmode summons are made there because you probably would have to conquer the evil biome to be able to fight a boss but why is the nights edge crafted by the altars?

I think a craftable Hallow Alter that’s post mech would be perfect, gives a little bit extra use for hallowed bars too

The "mechanical altar" is the name I came up with, I guess i could post it as an idea. Edit: and it would obviously be post mech

I think making it post EoW/BoC is the earliest something like this should be. It shouldn't be available at the start, but by Hardmode, you're not using Altars to craft boss summon items outside of resource/money farming. Placing it after the evil bosses makes it so by the time you can get it, you'd be very capable of surviving the biome anyway, and have in fact "conquered" it. The main reason I see that this should be implemented is to make it so you don't have to venture out of your way/build housing in extremely specific spots to take advantage of an Altar spawn outside the evil biome.
