Mobile Pumpkin moon

I had to re-install the game and for the life of me cannot beat the Pumpkin Moon Event anymore. I have a afk/semi afk farm, that worked brilliantly with ravens. I no longer have the raven staff so.... yeah. I am only getting to stage 11 and maybe killing 2 Pumpkings. The spear trap nerf is the worst, also getting nothing but stake launchers, stakes, spooky wood, nemoc.. however you spell it. Is not helping. And why cannot I not get the slime to take presidence so I do not get hit so much? I have lava down and nothing seems to spawn, but I am still getting hit. I have yet to make it through an event where I don't almost die 2-3 times. Any ideas? All help is welcome. I am playing on andriod.

I would suggest doing some frost moon farming first. Get a razorpine and regenerative spectre armor, and maybe a mana flower, and this should rip through pumpkings.
