NPCs & Enemies Queen antlion/desert boss (post-golem event boss)

I put a lot of thought into this, relogic, pls consider adding this

it would be like a giant antlion that would spawn if a large amount of space is in an underground desert during a sandstorm, where the player can have a chance of the boss to spawn (2%, or make a boss summon out of 50 antlion mandibles, one forbidden fragment and 25 desert fossil), it would look like like antlion swarmer but much larger in size (probably about 4-5 times in length, 2-3 in hight) and would aggressively attack the player laying antlion eggs like mothron that will hatch into antlion larva that have double the health and defence, do a loud roar that will summon 3-5 antlions from the ground, she will dash into the player about twice and then dig underground (can also do this in the roof) to randomly shoot sand at the player (she is invincible when underground/in roof), she will also "throw" antlion chargers at the player (she will be unable to move during this so it is a huge damage opportunity) and as she gets lower on health, she will speed up and become less predicable with attack pattern.

Her drops could be:
25% chance of dropping an antlion sword, spear and staff, the sword doing 70 damage and capable of making sand boulders that will move around like the leaf blade and those individual boulders will deal 50% of the damage the sword makes, the staff being able to summon a moving tornado like the forbidden armor's set bonus, dealing 60 damage per second and will last for 5 seconds, and the spear will do a little sand blast at the tip of it that has massive knockback. (she will only drop one of these per kill)

100% to drop 20-30 antlion mandibles

5% chance to drop a piece of the antlion set, it would be a melee oriented set that has all together 55 defence, its set bonus would be that every 10-15 seconds it would spawn a friendly antlion larva that will die upon hit to enemies (deals about 10 damage and has a limit of 3), the headpiece would give 10% melee damage, 5% melee speed and 5% bonus damage to antlion weapons, the chest plate would give 15% melee damage and 10% bonus damage to antlion weapons, and the leggings would give 5% melee damage, 10% melee speed and 5% bonus damage to antlion weapons. The defence in dependently would be 20, 15 and 10 for head, chest and legs.

this boss is good but i have to be real, this just sounds like an early pre-hm boss, somewhere just post EoC or something

sorta agree, i was thinking that it could be a hardmode boss like EoL, optional but if skilled it can be taken down and granted great loot. plus, it would be a game changer to get an item that stops antlions from attacking you when underground

Post-Golem is definitely not the place for a new boss. That's a crowded enough point in progression as it is. And, as with every other boss suggestion, I have to ask: what justifies this boss's addition to the game? How does it help the biome it's in? Why does the biome it's in even need a boss, aside from the shallow reasoning of "it doesn't have one yet"?

Post-Golem is definitely not the place for a new boss. That's a crowded enough point in progression as it is. And, as with every other boss suggestion, I have to ask: what justifies this boss's addition to the game? How does it help the biome it's in? Why does the biome it's in even need a boss, aside from the shallow reasoning of "it doesn't have one yet"?
well while this couldn't be a progression boss, it could be an idea for a event boss for the sandstorm
