Basically, some random accessory ideas. May add new when I thought of any.

A small chance to get from clear a thorn (in corruption, crimson or jungle).
Enemy attack you get 10 melee damage.
Sold for 20 Silver.

Bundle of Balloons + Shiny Red Balloon + Fart in a Balloon + Honey Balloon + Balloon Pufferfish + Sharkron Balloon at Tinkerer's Workshop.
Contain all the effect, as well as a Feather Fall effect.
Sold for 20 Gold.
Huge Bundle of Balloons + Chair at Tinkerer's Workshop.
A mount, when used, player will sit on a chair with lots of Balloons, and will slowly fly upwards. Cannot move when on the mount. Must use this mount on a solid surface.
Sold for 20 Gold.
(basically a joke item).

Frozen Turtle Shell + Paladin's Shield
8 defence
Immune to Knockback
25% of damage taken will be redirected to another player (does not stack with Paladin's Shield)
Reduce damage received based on lose health.
(for each 2% of health lost, the damage received will be reduced by 1%, also, maxed at a 25% damage reduction)
Does not stack with Frozen Turtle Shell (so, it's basically a liner Frozen Turtle Shell, and to prevent it form overpowered, it does not stack with Frozen Turtle Shell by making player immune to the Ice Barrier buff)
Sold for 10 Gold.

Frozen Turtle Shell + Flesh Knuckles

Enemies are more likely to target you.
Get Ice Barrier buff below 50% damage.
You cannot take damage more than 50% of your max health. (if the damage received, after all other damage reducing effects, is more than half of your max health, you get the damage half of you health instead)
You wear a Beetle Armor set, this accessory, with other thing to make you have 100 defence, also under the effect of endurance and life force, with full health. (600)
Then, you are stoned and fell in a distance that would deal 2000 damage. (normal mode)
So, firstly, damage is reduced by defence, 1950.
Then, by Beetle Armor, 45%, then, it would be 1072.
Next, by the endurance, 10%, 964.
Finally as the damage 964 is more than half of your health (300), then, you take 300 damage instead.
Sold for 10 Gold.

Putrid Scent + Magic Quiver
10% increased Ranged damage and 5% increased Ranged critical chance.
Enemies are less likely to target you.
When you are holding a Ranged weapon, you can enter stealth mode with a reduced speed, and when out when you attack or taken damage. (much like Psycho Knife, you also get a 45% increased Ranged damage and 10% increased Ranged critical chance)
(this stealth effect will be override by Shroomite or Vortex armor)
25% chance not consume ammo when stealth or invisible (also works on the stealth mode of Shroomite or Vortex armor)
Sold for 15 Gold.

20% chance to be dropped by Hallowed Mimic (other item it dropped would now be 20% each)
You have 25% chance to resist a debuff.
(including Potion/Mana Sickness, Moon Bite, Chaos State, but Tipsy, Environment debuff like water candle and the two debuff by Wall of Flesh are not included).
Sold for 8 Gold.

Chance to be sold by Travelling Merchant for 5 gold.
Allow you to directly put blocks into lava.

Ruler + Mechanical Ruler
With both of their effect.
Sold for 40 Silver.

Chance to be sold by Skeleton Merchant for 15 gold. (unlike other items, it is not determined by moon phase, it is determined by the time you found one, with 10% chance)
Reduce the Environment damage by half.
(including any damage not directly done by enemy or other players, like falling sand, lava, boulder, explosives, land mine, spikes, any trap)
(does not include suffocation, drowning, bombs or dynamites, cannons or reflected projectile)
Can be combined with Lava Waders for Adventurer's Waders, which have both effect and sold for 20 gold.

(Chanced to an accessory.)

Immune to Stoned.
Reduce Laser damage by 30%.

(Chanced to an accessory, as a counterpart of Nature's Gift)
10% increased heart and healing potion effect.
Does not affect life stealing.

Jungle Rose + Greater Healing Potion.
15% increased heart and healing potion effect.
Automatically consume a healing potion when needed, 20% chance to ignore potion sickness.
(when needed means this: when you are about to take a damage no less than the health you have and consuming a healing potion can prevent you from dying, you'll automatically consume one, if you are under the effect of potion sickness, there will still be a 20% chance that you consume one healing potion and reset to time of potion sickness.)
(However, if consuming one cannot prevent you from death, like you only have 10 health and a healing potion, but about to take 200 damage, you won't consume one)
Sold for 2 Gold
Can be combine with Charm of Myth to Charm of Miracle, which have both effect and sold for 12 gold.

50% chance to replace Web Slinger in the Web Covered Chest
You won't be slowed down by a Cob Web.
(The cob web will still broken as well as preventing the falling damage)
Sold for 50 Silver.

(short for Portable Bubble Shield Generator)
1% chance to be drop by Martian Officer.
When equipping this item and stand still for about 2 s, you'll get a Bubble Shield with 100 health and 20 defence (the HP would generate first slowly and then accelerate to about 12/s speed until reach 100 when you are not move, and its HP can also slowly regenerate (about 2/s) when you are moving or attacking).
The Bubble Shield would absorb any damage (also preventing you from the debuff from the attacker, except Stoned, as it's an eye contact debuff) and preventing you from getting suffocation, drowning and honey buff. (as well as Wet Slimed, Stinky, and Lovestruck)
In addition, when it's striked, you'll still get into the invincible state (and affect by Cross Necklace), but unless you take the damage it failed to absorb, any effect requires being hit will not active. (like Turtle Armor, Star Cloak).
Finally damage reduce effect like Beetle Armor has not effect on it, but Shadow Dodge and Black Belt can still work.
If you damage is more than it can absorb you take the reminded damage instead.
  1. You are under full Bubble Shield health and take 40 damage, then the Bubble Shield would absorb all and take 40-20/2= 30 damage, it has 70 HP now.
  2. You are under full Bubble Shield health and take 400 damage, you have 100 defence and the Endurance effect. Firstly, you the Shield will absorb 110 damage and break, then you take 330 damage, reduced by the defence and Endurance effect, your HP will be reduced by (330-50)*90%=252.
  3. You are under Bubble Shield with 1 health and take 20 damage, you have 100 defence. Then, the Bubble Shield will absorb 11 damage, you take 9 damage. And after reduced by your defence, your HP will be reduced by 1.
Sold for 5 Gold.
(I think maybe this is a little complex, but I feel it could be fun)

(The following accessories will be dropped by Martian Saucer, alone with the weapons, so it will now drop a weapon AND an accessory, all of them sold for 5 Gold)
(most of them are meant to increase the end-game armor set bonus)
Increase the charge speed and holding time of you armor.
(Actual effect: For Beetle Shell set and Solar Flare set, it will decrease the time for the generating of the buff by 20%, and offer a 20% chance for the buff not degrade when get hit. For the Beetle Scale Mail set, the buff can generate faster and hold longer., not effect on other set)
Increase your stealth ability.
(Actual effect: Reduce the time by 30% for Psycho Knife and Shroomite Armor to go to stealth mode, you won't come out of stealth mode when you take damage, and give you a 20% chance to automatically dodge (30% with black belt) when you are stealth as well as under invisible potion effect)
Increase your ability to extract the essence from your foes.
(Actual effect: Increase the healing/damaging orb from the Spectre Armor, so that it heals 30% of the damage/deals 50% of original damage, Increase the dropping chance of the Nebula Booster
It also increase the Dungeon Spirit Spawn Chance and the dropping chance of Soul of Light/Night)
Increase your minion damage based on the minions you have.
(Actual effect: When you have more than one minions, for each additional one you have, all you minions will deal 5% more damage (multiply with other effect). Note that this count also include sentry type of minions like Queen Spider, and the Stardust Guardian will always be count as one minion.)
Allow you autoswing/autofire any weapons.
You'll never be damaged by your own weapons (including grenade, bomb, rocket and reflected projectiles, but does not include the trap you triggered)

5% chance drop by any mimic.
Give the same effect of the accessory equipped 1 before this equipment.
(if quipped on the 2nd slot of accessory, it would have the same effect of the 1st slot one, and if equipped on the 1st one, it would have the effect of the last slot)
Simply like allowing you equip 2 of the same accessories.
Note some effect do not stack, normally, only status increasing effect, like damage, crit chance, melee speed, movement speed, defence, etc. will stack.

5% chance drop by Bone Lee.
Chance to deal triple damage instead of normally double when deal a critical damage.
(the number of the triple crit damage will be red and bigger than a normal crit damage number)
(For the chance to deal a triple damage, if the crit chance is not more than 100%, then the chance would be twice of the weapon's base crit chance (after the modifier); if more than 100%, the chance would be twice of the weapon's base crit chance plus the weapon's crit chance-100%. If it's more than 100% for the triple crit chance, it would be treat as 100%)
  • A Keen Wooden Sword with a 50% crit chance: then its base crit chance is 4%+3%=7%, so for each strike, there would be 50% chance to deal a normal damage, 50%x(2x7%)=7% chance to deal a triple crit damage, and 43% chance to deal a normal crit damage.
  • An Unreal Sniper Rifle with a 120% crit chance: then its base crit chance is 29%+5%=34%, so for each strike, there would be 34%x2+120%-100%=88% chance to deal a triple crit damage, and 12% chance to deal a normal crit damage.
(this item is main for player who likes crit chance over damage, and it also make that the crit chance no long capped at 100%)

Can craft with The Eye of Golem for The Inner Eye, which gives an additional 8% crit chance and sold for 15 Gold.

Sun Glasses and Jungle Rose are both already a thing, but they are both vanity. There are some good suggestions in here, I have a few to go along with it:

Asbestos Gloves + Diving Gear + Obsidian Rose = Magma Diving Gear
Allows the player to swim in lava/water, breath underwater, take no damage from lava/fire blocks, place blocks in lava

Magma Diving Gear + Lava Waders = Magma Suit
