Items Ranger weapons are pathetic at the moment!

Look: being a Ranger is awesome. Darting around a boss/enemy player/horde of bats like a bullet, and blasting them out of the world one-by-one (or all at once if you're that kind of guy). But the problem is right here:

Us rangers have been stuck with the same stuff for a while. We're neglected as a "class." (Because I know some of you are going to say "Terraria doesn't have classes")
There's a new melee weapon every 3 seconds, and a new magic weapon occasionally comes too. Maybe a ranged weapon every once in a while. But the problem gets deeper: Each type of weapon splits into 3 further divisions, typically. Rangers have bullets, bows, and bombs, like Warriors have swords, spears, yo-yos, flails, throwing weapons, and Mages have gun-like weapons, tomes, staffs, etc.

And these divisions often get a new weapon each, every once in a while it seems. But not Rangers. With the Betsy weapons, Warriors get this totally WICKED new weapon, and Mages got a weapon that reduces defense. Not as cool, but it's still something. And melee has their own ranged ability, which is unholy amounts of stupid. If they can be ranged, make our ranged better, geez.

I think we need more ranger weapons. Ones that are actually kind of cool. And not JUST more bows. We need more of everything. Some bows, some guns, some explosives.

Top: Normal mode
Fires just like a normal gun. It works like an assault rifle. On crits, it applies a debuff called "Ethereal Burn" to the victim. The debuff lowers defense for 7 seconds and can stack.

Bottom: Sniper mode
Slow fire rate, high damage, 40% crit chance, high penetration, etc. On crits, it causes an explosion. The explosion can only harm enemies. When standing still, crits increase by 17%




Not sure what to call the weapon, but maybe something like "Ethereal Pulse".

What you (and others) tend to forget though is that Rangers have a wide assortment of arrows and bullets, which turns the 'few' weapons they have (in my opinion they have plenty of weapons) into anything they want:
Armour reducing, guided, piercing, ricochet, explosive, damage over time and so on. It's an incredible ability that none of the other damage classes have.
 
I would want more ranger weapons (especially for rocket launchers!!!!HEHEHEHEHE!!) but think about it, how hard is it for melee and mage at beginning stadge of the game, first night, you are swinging that trusty sword and then one zombie gets past and smacks you (especially in expert, that gotta hurt) and for mages, the most early game weapon you can get is wand of sparking, for goodness sake, the thing can kill a slime but zombies take quite a few. Then it comes down to the ranger class, you get that trusty wooden that rips up thoses slime, zombies and those snitching demon eyes and the fact if you get lucky and get a few bombs, head to the corruption/crimson and boom, a gun, then if you have a valid house, the arms dealer shows up and sells ammo and a Gatling gun if you saved your money
In other words, ranger is da best for the beginning stage
 
So wrong. Melee is the weakest, because it's not good against most of the bosses in the game (or even some enemies). Even solar eruption takes a lot of time to beat moonlord, because this erratic movement of chain, it's just tedious and annoying.

He is not saying who is the weakest, he is saying that there is not a lot of ranged weapons and wants to fix this
