Weapons & Equip Shield idea: Aegis

Another TO crosspost of a thread that was made after this forum was made

1.3 introduced the Medusa, a monster based on the gorgons of Greek myth, you get their heads as a drap and you can use them to petrify opponents. So lets complete the mythological reference shall we?

Aegis

Material: 10 Hallowed Bars, 1 Medusa Head, 3 Palladium Bars (as a reference to Athena, the counterpart bar can also be used), 5 Souls of Fright. and 1 Ankh or Obsidian Shield

Effect: Combined effects of the Medusa head and whatever shield the devs want to use for the recipe, but it can be used offensbly like the Eye of Cuthulu Shield.

If some guy added the Zeus Boss in Hesperides biome (which can be only summoned by rain, and it will rain throughout the battle until he slain/player slain), Lightning Aegis is cool too

Would the Shield automatically do the Medusa attack when near enemies or would you have to trigger it like the Eye Shield? I like the idea, but I feel like it should have to be triggered and have a cooldown.
