The Silencer is an accessory that drops from 2 enemies in the Post-Plantera Dungeon. The Silencer allows you when equipped to shoot firearms with a 75% chance of not being noticed by enemies with each bullet. Also replaces all firearm sounds with much quieter, silenced-gun sounds when equipped.

To get this item:

2.50% (5% in Expert) chance of dropping from a Tactical Skeleton
5% (10% in Expert) chance of dropping from a Skeleton Sniper
Can be sold from the Arms Dealer Post-Golem for 30 Gold during Blood Moons

A very good item for ranged characters that want to take out enemies without being seen.

Don't enemies notice you when you fire bullets though? I mean you can lurk around but I'm certain that they can notice you when bullets are fired.

Firing doesn't take you out of stealth.

So basically, enemies can't notice you even if you fire bullets when in stealth mode?

Seems kind of pointless with the Shroomite/Vortex armour stealth ability. Plus with rapid fire guns this item would not be useful at all.
