Hey all,
I'm at a bit of a loss here. I got a new PC and I'm trying to play Terraria through Steam. When I hit play, Steam says Terraria is running for a couple of seconds and then it stops. I've seen people with similar issues on these forums and elsewhere, and I've tried so many different solutions to no avail. I have also looked for my specific error and haven't found anything (that I can understand, at least). I have no other PC issues and Terraria is the only game that I've experienced this with.
What I have tried:

I can't parse this myself but it seems like there is still some kind of issue related to XNA? I made sure that I only have the 4.0 version installed.
My specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H
RAM: 16GB (2x8)
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
I sincerely appreciate any/all help!
Edit: Was able to fix this issue after installing .NET Framework 4.8.1 for anyone who has this issue in the future.

What I have tried:
- Restarting PC
- Restarting Steam
- Reinstalling Terraria
- Renaming Terraria
- Checking integrity of game files via Steam
- Running from file as administrator
- Running memory diagnosis
- Installing/launching tModloader
- Disabling fullscreen optimizations
- Updating GPU drivers
- Reinstalling Microsoft XNA Framework 4.0
- Changing security permissions in certain Microsoft .NET and XNA folders (found at the bottom of this post)
