This has probably been reported, but I just wanted to make sure.

I tested this myself in 1.4.3.2:
 
This is a known exploit with the minishark and exploding bullets AFAIK, though it didn't felt very impactful compared with other exploits, as you're essentially giving up your main way of dealing damage.
Though using the Star Cloak (without cross necklace) with it is a new one to me.
