Linux Stuttering every few seconds

Elitenoob

Terrarian
I am running Terraria on the native version, no proton or anything else enabled. I am getting game freezes up to 1 second long every 10-20 or so seconds.
I have tried enabling and disabling stuff like autosave, changing the multicore lightning settings, frame skip and the quality settings. Nothing seems to stop this from happening.
If anyone knows any fix please help me.

Try disabling Frameskip if you haven't already. I couldn't make much sense of your RAM specs, usually it'd be laid out as a 2x4GB (8gbRAM) of 2x8GB (16gbRAM) as examples, but if you have two separate RAM cards, specifically 2x8, make sure they're in the same colour slots.
Other than that, I can't help you. Weirdly enough, a lot of other people have the same issue of not being able to run Terraria properly on a mid-high end PC.
One thing I can say with certainty, however. Its not your PC, it's the game.

I have only a single 8GB ram stick I believe. I haven't opened my laptop yet since I don't want to void the warranty just yet. Using the Steam Linux Runtime to run the game apparently solved the issue, however tModLoader is out of question since mods tend to throw weird errors at me. Vanilla works great. I hope the upcoming update might solve my issue. I really want to mod the game again.
