I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible to kill something in under one tick. The linked video claims a kill time of 0.133 seconds. Considering that the Terraria wiki says that "There are 60 ticks per second", that would mean that 0.133 seconds would be equal to 8 game ticks.

Normally, we would prefer that an existing thread be used rather than start a new one. However, the author of the older thread seems to have been gone from the community for quite some time, so we have made an exception in this case and locked the older thread.
