So I have an idea for a block that will either do 1 of 2 things depend on which is crafted

This a basic idea that could be used in two ways

1. it will filter out just liquids and can be stood upon (Items or mobs or literally anything wont fall through but liquids)

2. It will filter out items so in a way to be used for a grinder to focus loot too one location without lava in the way

Using wires they can also be blocked to nothing some through or just the thing they let through

If the top is covered it will not allow anything in

Crafted for 5 iron/lead bars for 2 of that filter
(Does anything need further explaination?)

I like the 1st option, but after that it just seems like a weird conveyer belt. Also, how do you get this grate?

Thanks for the input I was thinking you can craft using like 15 iron or lead bars? and for the second option I was think of it less of a conveyor belt its more of so that way you can stick a punch of these filter beneath your lava and if the lava doesn't burn it, it will then fall through for you to grab

15 is a LOT. That's 45 ore for 1 block! Maybe a bar for 3 (or a bit more expensive then that, just suggesting)

It is something else. It's a thing that in a way is supposed to work WITH conveyors
