The graphics of terraria are good in my opinion.
But for most nostalgic like players like me like the old graphics so this is a solution to the old vs new graphics
And before you say anything Yes i know... this is quite bad as this is my first suggestion.
Anyway onto the suggestion.
Pretty much its an option in the General section that says "Graphics" (not a big surprise)
When clicking that button it will go through certain versions
1.1 through the last update
any biome/item that hasn't had an older sprite from old versions will not be affected
Along with the title screen.

I legit thought this was a poem due to your formatting.

My main concern would be that the old graphics wouldn't look good next to the new and up-to-date graphics. Not to mention all the randomised graphics layouts like the different tree graphics which would have to be re-randomised every time you change the graphics to "1.2" or newer.
